About the event

Stitches Comedy Club at The Workman's Cellar with Simon O'Keeffe

Simon O'Keeffe

“Excellent” www.dublinevents.com

“A treat to watch” www.dublinks.com

“A top act” The Skinny (Scotland)

“DEFINITELY not one to be missed” www.culch.ie

“A top comedic talent, Simon has clearly marked himself out as one to watch” Munster Express

“The difference between ‘up-and-coming’ and ‘here-all-ready’...deserves a larger profile than he already

has and is perhaps one festival away from it” www.tvbomb.co.uk

One of the most popular figures on the Irish comedy scene, Simon has headlined pretty much every club

worth playing. Well known for his excellent hosting skills, he was the resident MC of the award winning

Capital Comedy Club in the landmark Ha'Penny Bridge Inn for almost a decade before assuming hosting

duties in Chaplin's Comedy Club.

Simon has toured all over Ireland with the likes of Neil Delamere, PJ Gallagher, and Joanne McNally

including opening for them in Dublin's prestigious Vicar Street. A festival regular, he was the first

comedian to ever play the Oxegen festival and has featured at the last 5 Vodafone Comedy Festival's, not

to mention playing all over the UK and even Europe.

Simon has written for some of the biggest names in Irish comedy, he has written for the stage, radio,

newspapers and has also been a writer for some of the biggest shows on RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and hopefully

one day TG4 for a sense of completion.

John Hilder

is an up and coming comedian who is quickly making a name for himself as one of the funniest and hardest working young comics in America. John was born and raised in the comedic hotbed of Salt Lake City, UT, but in 2004 he fled Utah for the neon pastures of lovely Las Vegas, NV to pursue a life of comedy and sin. With his quirky wit, unparalleled originality, and fearless attitude on stage, John quickly rose above the fray to become one of the most respected comedians in the city. By seamlessly combining his small town innocence with a big city edge, John has become a favorite in comedy clubs, colleges and theaters throughout the country, as well as some of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas, including the Palms, the Rio, Bally’s, Stratosphere, Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood, and Hooters Casino where he hosted and produced The Hilarious 7 five nights a week before the pandemic. John has been seen on Fox TV and Spike TV.  In 2010 he released his debut comedy album entitled “Johnsense” and in 2016 he released his second album, “Words on Play,” both of which are currently available on iTunes and Amazon. Needless to say, they are taking the country by sarcastic storm. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this quick witted, hilarious comic on his way up, years before his imminent, and heartbreaking demise.

(Host )Emman Idama

Emman is a strong name in the Irish Comedy seen, nominated for Irish Comedian Of The Year 2020 & 2021, Chortle Finalist 2019, and many other more awards, he has open for some of the big names in comedy and sports like Seann Walsh, Eric Cantona and more.

'Emman Idama is a more effervescent source of energy, just the thing to keep the spirits up. Idama establishes himself as a warm, charming and thoroughly engaging performer.' - Chortle

Senan McAllorum, and Vittorio Leonardi.
