Biography
Breda Hegarty is an emerging star of Irish comedy, winner of the Best New Act 2025 at the Bray Comedy Festival and Best Comedian at the DICFF Stand up Comp, she was also a Finalist in Scorthy Smiles and The Louthest Laughs competitions in 2024.
She is quickly rising the ranks of the Irish Stand Up Comedy scene and has performed with David McSavage, Adam Bloom, John Colleary, Colin Murphy, Joe Rooney, Pat McDonnell and many more.
Having grown up in rural West Cork, Breda Hegarty remains slightly feral but has learned to communicate through the medium of comedy. A trained actor she plays the role of Concepta in season 4 of Harry of Wild. In her stand up Breda shares her hysterical failings as a as a human, which will in no doubt leave you feeling a bit better about your own life.
